Helping people see the relationships that change the conversation.

Sometimes you know something needs attention before you can explain what it is. It may be something in your life, a relationship, a decision, or the way things are working around you. We can start there.

How we might work together

01 / THE WORK
For you

A place to
work things through.

There are times when it helps to talk things through with someone. You may be living with grief, feeling caught in a familiar pattern, or trying to work out what you want from here.

We will talk about what has brought you here and whether I am the right person to partner with you in this process. Depending on what you want to explore, our work together may include counselling or coaching, with attention to your health, decisions or everyday life. We will agree on that together before we begin.

  • Life changes and uncertainty
  • Grief, relationships and recurring patterns
  • Personal direction and difficult decisions

Based on Vancouver Island. Session format, availability, length and fees are confirmed before booking. Before arranging online sessions, we will check whether I can offer the support you need where you live.

What the work
requires.

You might have a team that needs time to talk properly, a program you want to bring to life, or a question that keeps coming back despite everyone’s efforts.

I enjoy working with people who care about what they do. We might work together on a discussion, a workshop, leadership coaching or the planning and delivery of a project. We begin by talking about the work and the people involved.

  • Group discussions and shared learning
  • Support for leaders and teams
  • Planning programs and putting them into practice together

Based in Canada and available for local and international projects. We agree on the work, travel, preparation and fees before starting.

About Betsie

A little more
about me.

Love · Integrity · Thankfulness

As a South African, my roots are part of who I am. Vancouver Island is also home, and Switzerland and Dubai are part of my story too. Moving between places has given me plenty to learn about belonging, difference and the many ways we see the world.

My path into this work has included business, family life, community involvement and further study. Those experiences belong together for me. They shape the questions I ask and the way I listen.

On Vancouver Island, I have worked with Indigenous organizations supporting Elders, youth and families. In this work, I follow the direction of the community and respect the relationships already there.

I serve as Vice President of Pacific Peoples’ Partnership and contributed to the planning and delivery of its 2026 youth exchange in Samoa. This is part of my experience; organizational roles are separate from my private practice.

A few practical questions.

03 / BEFORE WE BEGIN
Where do we start?

Send a brief enquiry about the kind of support or work you are looking for. We can discuss whether we are a good fit, my availability and how we could begin. You do not need to explain your full story in an email.

How do we decide what kind of support fits?

We talk about what you need and whether counselling, coaching or another kind of work is appropriate. Before starting, we agree on what the work includes and how we will work together.

Can you work with our organization?

Tell me what you would like us to work on, where you are and when you would like to begin. We can discuss a single project or ongoing work. I will put the proposed work, responsibilities and costs in writing.

Can I use insurance or funded support?

Coverage depends on your plan or funding arrangement and the provider qualifications it accepts. Please confirm eligibility directly before booking. I can provide my current professional details for that enquiry.

You are welcome to get in touch.

Website information

Your privacy matters.

This website introduces my services. It has no enquiry form, newsletter signup or advertising analytics added by me. Email links open your own email application. The hosting provider may process technical information needed to deliver the website. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the technical information needed for that request.

Do not send counselling histories, medical records or information identifying other people in an initial email. We can arrange an appropriate way to share information if we decide to work together.

A website enquiry does not establish a counselling relationship. Service suitability, location requirements, confidentiality, consent, fees and cancellation terms are discussed before work begins.
